Built for Island Life
From Webster Street to the Bay Farm greenway and the ferry at Seaplane Lagoon, we train in the same settings you actually use. We start by building engagement and a simple marker system, then layer leash manners, heel, place/stationing, and reliable recall. The goal is calm neutrality around people, bikes, and other dogs—without losing your dog’s confidence or drive.
Humane, Balanced Approach
We reward the right choices first—food, toys, praise—then add fair, minimal accountability only after criteria are understood. Tools are selected thoughtfully for the dog in front of us (long lines, management gear, and, when appropriate, communication tools) with transparent coaching for you. You’ll get concise homework that fits Alameda routines—evening shoreline walks, café stops, park time at Jean Sweeney or Washington Park.
What You’ll Notice Week to Week
Looser leashes on Otis and Encinal. Quieter greetings at doorways and patios. A recall you trust along the waterfront. Safety is standard on board-and-train: GPS monitoring, appropriate equipment, and a CPR/First-Aid–certified trainer. If “Alameda Dog Training” to you means real-world results you can feel on tomorrow’s walk, let’s get started.
